Well, today was a big one for me. Today was graduation day from my technical school. It's one more step to the end of High School. I was in the Diesel program. For my Sophomore and Junior years, I had normal classes half the day, and class at the tech school the other half. This year, I got to work in a local service station instead of having to be at Tech.
I graduated with a certificate for scoring high on the State standardized test. This past November, I also passed the class to get my PA state inspection license, which was paid in full by the school. The training I received from CCCTC will always be a huge help to me in my future. It's already helped me land my new job, which is a huge opportunity for me. I've already got the job I've always wanted, full time, right out of High School.
Later on, I went boot and tool shopping with the girl. I found a couple pairs of boots I really liked for my new job. I'm leaning towards a pair of Carolinas, but I'm definitely going to keep looking around. And I bought a Craftsman 3/8 air ratchet, which will definitely help at the new job tearing engines down.
After everything was over, I decided to figure out what the noise was that Blue has been making. I had a feeling it was the wheel bearing in the driver side, but I wasn't sure. It just didn't sound like a bearing noise. Turns out, the bearing is absolutely shot. I've never seen one so bad. I could actually watch the wheel move around while I jacked up the truck. So I'm going to get a new hub tomorrow at work and get her back on the road. It sucks, but I need that truck. So it is what it is.
And my grandfather gave me my graduation gift, a 3 ton floor jack from Harbor Freight. I've been wanting a new jack for a long time, and I liked the ones HF has. It's already a huge improvement over our old jack.

Congratulations. That's a big achievement. I remember when I graduated from DADC and got first job as a tech.
